But once you realize that you can be happy when you are alone and that you can be a survivor on your own, then you will be ready for what God has for you. When you look into the mirror, tell yourself, “I am attractive”, “I am intelligent”, and “I am a good person”. If you don’t believe this for yourself, then anyone can beat you down with his or her words. So don’t let anyone validate who you are because God created you in a unique way. When you rely on the Lord, He will supply all your needs and He will know when to send one of his angels who will be Mr. Right and not Mr. Right Now. But you have to be patient. I know there are times when you just need someone to talk to and you don’t know where to turn. That is when you get down on your knees or bow your head down and talk to God. I know you think that God might not answer or hear your prayers, but He hears them all. He might not answer when you want and He may not answer how you want but He will answer. I know He will, because He has answered many prayers for me. You are not alone. Your neighbor may not have gone through what you have gone through and she may not understand what you are going through, but God gives each of us a test in life. We can either give up or do something about it. God gives us a talent, which might not seem like much to you. But you might be a Godsend for someone else because you know how to cook or that you might be a seamstress and she needs a wedding dress that she can’t afford to buy. If you want more for yourself, learn to do something new. What God has for you will be for you. We all want to be rich and famous and we can be if we reach for it. Believe you will receive what you ask in Jesus name. If you are in a relationship and you are asking for a blessing from God, it might not come because of this stronghold in your life. You might be holding onto someone who is not good for you, they might be your blessing blocker. That is a stronghold. Put your trust in God and He will provide you with His promise of a good and abundant life. Free yourself from unhappiness and live as God has intended for you to live. He doesn’t want you to suffer or cry daily. Yes, there are times in our life where we will cry and be sad but only for a moment. God will work it out if we ask him in
prayer. Believe me, I know because I have cried so many nights. But once I got down on my knees and asked for God’s help, the problem didn’t seem so bad the next day. If you practice praying and thanking God for the little things in life, you will be thankful for what you have. What you have might not seem like a lot to you but if you could see in your neighbor’s home, you might appreciate what you do have. People can be well dressed with a smile but you don’t know what they have to go home to. Your problems won’t seem as important when you sit down and listen to someone else’s problem. I used to think that I was the only one going through my trials but when I worked around other women and heard their problems, I went home and thanked God for my life. No one will hurt like you, no one will cry as long as you have, no one will have as much pain as you feel you have but believe me, their pains and problems will feel much bigger than yours if you listen. I know that God gives us a direction in life and when we follow it, we have good days, but when we turn down the wrong path for whatever reason, we will get hurt, we will cry and we will suffer. But remember, it is only for a moment in time. There are 4 seasons in a year and there are 4 seasons in our life, a season to be born, a season to live, a season to love and a season to die. You can choose to live and be happy or you can choose to settle for less than what you deserve. No one can keep you down unless you let them. No one can control your destiny but you. If you want love, love God first then yourself and it will come back to you.
After today, be a Woman of God and desire the best and you will get the best. Find a purpose for your life by fulfilling it with joy and love. Smile and speak the next time you come in contact with someone. It doesn’t matter if they don’t smile or speak back to you. Your kindness might just rub off on them when they pass the next person. Just be you and say to yourself, “This is a day that the Lord has made and I will rejoice and be glad in it”. Then go out and conquer your world. Don’t just sit there and waste this precious day. It might just be your last. Be who God wants you to be and stand up for yourself. Reach for the top and don’t let anyone take your joy.
YOU ARE A SURVIVOR AND YOU ARE STILL STANDING!
